THIS DREAM...
There has been this dream that's bothered me for almost a week now. It appears as a scene inserted into the whole of my dream sequence, and it baffles me to no end. In this dream I, along with Junko and Takashi, was with Mama, who has just given birth to a fourth child. I asked Mama what she will name the fourth child.
Poof! I wake up, and there goes the freaky dream. It leaves me puzzled, and wondering. But Papa's left this world three years already...
I give up trying to think of it.

CAN YOU SAY 'HELL WEEK'?
Course I can! Ako pa! *smiles* But it's just Tuesday, and I am having an average of about 6 hours of sleep, as compared to the 8 I get on regular non-hell week days. This is a scary week for the UJP-UP applicants. It's the solo interview, and I am hard as hell figuring what I could wear as a costume for the upcoming Union Senate investigations. *sweatdrops* To top all that, Ma'am Almond Aguila wrote on my exam paper, "You are in grave danger of failing this course." Hala! And I wrote on my pre-enlistment the subjects Comm 120 and 140. Wha!
Till here for now. Am still trying to figure out how to get through this 'hell week'. Rest assured, my guardian angel, that I am wracking my brains to become a good boy, at least for this week. Please tell the Lord above that, ok? ^_^

Ditoy ak Math department, agsursurat iti amin nga malagip ko. Haan ak nalaing unay nga ag-Ilokano, ngem maawatak amin nga ibaga kinnyak. Madi ko laeng masarita iti kayat ko nga saritaen, ngem ngangngani ak la agbalin nga fluent, wen?
Wen. Ag-isem ka met dita...
Ngangngani la solo interviewk. No Biyernesen. Ni Angel (maysa nga co-app ko), nagsangit. THESE FRIGGIN' EMPIRICISTS...
Being an SA for the Math department, I sometimes do the SET (Student Evaluation of Teachers). I come across the question "Does your teacher give fair grades?" or something like that. The students who study Math subjects say they do. "Explain your answer" is the next item to be answer. The students HAVE to EXPLAIN why they think their instructor/professor grades them fair! Normally I would not react to this question, but there are TONS of blinded students of Math service courses who reply "We get what we worked for, and Math is an objective subject, yadder yadder..."
Objective my ass! Just because Math is an empirical subject does not mean that the teachers already grade you objectively! Ye who have not known Augusto Hermosilla(retired, bless his mortal soul), Noli Reyes, Manuel Musngi, or Julius Caesar Agapito are bound to make the mistake of taking them for nice, goody-goody-two-shoes professors. Sige, mga ungas, kunin n'yo sila at tingnan lang natin kung 'di kayo malintikan...
Good thing I already had my Math 17 with another instructor, and I already am in Journ. No more cry when Econ 100.1 comes. Heeheehee...

19 ALREADY!
Yesterday I turned 19. It would've been a perfectly fine and normal-and-all, when the not so normal-and-all co-app Dana just blurted out the magic words, "Uy, birthday ni Sam bukas." Oh bloody great. I don't have my paycheck right now, and I am the type of person who avoids people if I don't get to treat them. Die, you rich blabbermouth kids, die. Wahahahaha.... :P
Now for the serious part. If I base my Divine Messages for my nineteenth year on the films I watched yesterday, I will have received three lessons: 
1. That there is such a thing as 'industrialiation', and it brings about a lot of bad things to the environment. I can no longer close my eyes to what is happening about the environment. The people's mindset must change, that the environment is not here forever to serve our every whims. This is one thing I learned.
2. That drugs and an unhealthy self-image can lead to your own ruin. JUICE by Sam! :P
3. That sometimes when circumstances are desperately bleak, you can throw and scatter probabilistics into the air and pay no heed to all the advice against hope. It just helps to follow your own instincts.
There. I have seen three films yesterday. Something for me to think about in my nineteenth year.

HATE LETTER TO DOLLY CARVAJAL
Oh, but IC Mendoza just deserves to be bashed! IC just isn't cute, just isn't amusing, and just isn't for television really. Just for once I'd have to agree with Mike Tan:”Sa'n n'yo ba napulot ang baklang iyan?”
No, I'm not bashing gays. I'm simply bashing that person. Unlike Mike Tan, however, I have a hypothesis regarding the mushroom-like appearance of Mendoza on TV. It is because of GMA's large debt of gratitude to Lourdes Carvajal, aka Inday Badiday, and consequently Dolly Carvajal. And now Dolly Carvajal, a person who 'cares' for her son but has bashed her own mother in the past, is using her media powers to demand an apology from Mike Tan. I personally don't like Mike Tan, either, but Dolly Anne Carvajal should see her child's faults. Malandi si IC. And that being malandi almost everyone does not like. She should have castigated her child instead. It is not surprising conduct, coming from one who is a prodigal.
Stop abusing media powers, Dolly. And don't even entrench yourself in the media in the first place. It gets a bad reputation because of people like you. You stink.

Feelings of inferiority loomed over me as I passed my UJP-UP buddy write-up just this afternoon; it was obvious that the others put forth a lot of time into their buddy write-ups, while I only had little blather, and most of it was Gladdys's own words. I had not even bothered to give it a colorful cover page. Oh well. Guess babawi na lang ako next time. I found out that Gladdys's being quiet had a lot of advantages for me; people were more than amused when they found out she was Bb. Nutrisyon '99. :) You're the best, Gladdys! You rock! Haba ba ng hair? :D

it is in a weird position that i find myself in right now; it is weird in the sense that you and i know only so little about each other. i also feel it is awkward, with you being reserved and me being unable to get through to you; i am not a gregarious person to begin with. it might take some time, but i hope to get to fully know you by the time of the solo interview. i do not regret having chosen a name in the buddy list at random and bidding for a person i haven't seen yet, but now i know better, thanks to you. ^_^ i have learned that what you do not see can surprise you, and if you are not prepared(as i am right now), it will prove to be a challenging ordeal.
^_^no, i do not mean you are an ordeal. i am just exaggerating. :) i hope you are not mad at me. peace tayo, ha?

today is rest day. i shall not wear contacts for today. contact lenses are wonderful things. they have the ability to make me look un-nerdy. i recommend it to erushii-chan. at least try it for a few months. just a few months. i myself will go back wearing glasses; they are much too cumbersome for me to use. although i love the feeling of not having to wear anything on my face. ^_^

DY DY DY DY DY DY DY...
let us, for a moment, not take into consideration the veracity of former isabela governor faustino dy's statements against the first family(although i know you are itching your butt to tell your opinion about it) and their involvement in jueteng hooplas. dy could not have surfaced at a worse time than this. his loss to grace padaca having been very much publicized, he will be thought of by the people as electioneering, or nagpapabango in the vernacular. the filipino word means "making oneself fragrant" and it refers to improving the reputation of a politician. and people DO suspect that dy is trying to make himself gravitate back into the isabela political scene, at the least, or trying to introduce himself into the national political scene, at the most.
now, for the truth of his statements. the consequences of his not being able to keep his mouth shut depends upon whether his statements are shown true or shown false(i use the term shown here because in the philippines one can be touted as false when one speaks the truth, and vice versa). if he is shown true nothing changes. people will still think he is electioneering. if he is shown false it is the end of his career. the latest that i saw in tabloids right now is ping (lacson) has sent someone to pressure him to talk against gloria. great thing, actually. now ping only has to engage gloria in a battle of the minds.

To ate Maya, the head of MemComm of UJP-UP: you are right. people have a tendency to discriminate. this world is full of people who are filled with prejudice. although i have to admit that i too, being human, have my own stereotypes, whenever i remember that i have them, i try to drop them as soon as possible. i hope to see, like i guess you do too, a world in which those wearing a hijab (or anything out of the ordinary for that matter) will not be vulnerable and will not be judged. i hope for an understanding world. -_-
it takes a long time, but hell i will wait for it. it takes a only so much to change people's mindsets, but hell i will give my all. it takes everything, but to hell with everything if it does not understand.

Am a 4th year University of the Philippines student, but currently am a non-major in the College of Mass Communication. I can write, but am really unsure of whether I write well. This is a somewhat faithful version of what I keep in my paper diaries. And yes, I DO write my diaries MANUALLY. I've already filled up thirty-three Papemelroti notebooks, and am on my thirty-four. I love to eat, and boy, my diet sure can pack the pounds on even Palito. I now am planning to reduce weight, but will execute after the hell weeks are over. :D Am planning to shift to either BS Economics or BS Statistics. Wish me luck! :D
