And I never knew I could feel this way until now.
I just felt it so suddenly, and for the first time. And now I know when you feel this for the first time you tend to reel from the aftereffects.
Restlessness is what fills me right now.
I now know the feeling of quiet longing, that pain of wanting to see someone once again, but can't find the time to or the strength to tell. That pain of sudden madness that when it strikes you you feel helpless, powerless, anxious, bitter, and then...!
I know I have to let it out, somehow.
But how do I? Suddenly I have become a person who is tongue-tied. Suddenly I have become a person who is silent. Suddenly I have become a downtrodden person. Suddenly I...
I am not normally like this, but right now...
Words are impotent. How ironic, but right now words will only show how mediocre I get in sharp sudden moments of pain. And words that will not hurt me ruin all that I have left.

A batch of recently printed hundred-peso bills made its way into the hands of the Filipino masses. The notes misspelled the President's name, so that it read "Gloria Macapagal-Arrovo".
Haha. Right on. At least for some comic relief resbak the people have waited only so long for something like this. A hundred-peso bill misspelled. Critics say it sounds like the Spanish root word for robber, "robo". And it sounds like the Japanese term for robber, "dorobo". Haha. Right on.
Reminds me of a joke one time in which Imelda was reportedly speaking to the Japanese public. In an effort to relate to the r-tounged audience, she said a very impassionate line, "I rove tha Firipino pipor! I rove tha Firipins!"
So much for robbers. So much for hearing Japanese.

KATT AND THE UNEXPECTED
Katt, the one person in UJP-UP that I managed to murder the respective full name, the one who lashed out tongues of fury at not having heard the final 'a' sound, the one person I never thought would have the same twisted musicology as mine.
Wha? Goodness I thought before she was a year older than me, but now I know better than to use the appellate 'ate/kuya' as indiscriminately as I would toss out party favors. The UJP members before our batch got inducted are third years and above, with the exception of Jam. Now Jam is no longer the youngest. Now Katt (and ev'ryone else for that matter) is a legal 'nakatatanda'. Though not for me, they are not.
Hmmmm.... But let me get to something. I really AM a fan of 80s music. I got introduced to it by the local FM radio stations, and the musings of the then juvenile Jessica Zafra (she once LOVED Reo, and sang of its praises, but that was when she was in high school). And now it intensified with the technology and piracy I could only wish for. Haha. I listen occasionally to Police and Sting. ^_^Though a tight wallet only allows me tight access to their songs. I hope to add some more of their songs to my collection if I get to handle a (large) sum of money. I'm currently looking for (of course pirated) CDs of Reo Speedwagon, and Air Supply too. If you can find one, tell me! :D

I got up early Tuesday to strike the final straightening blow to my already awry schedule. I went to the College of The Gathering (aka MassComm) after a meal at the Papercup in SC. I remember Papercup was the place where we had lunch just before the induction. (Hi Batch Alitaptap! ^_^)
The House of Letters (aka the Journ department) was still closed. Ohdearsweetlordwhyisateraquelnothereasofthismoment? I had to keep my composure intact. I waited. And waited. And waited. Until Ate Raquel came, and Hallelujah!
The Form 5As had not yet arrived, she said. Typical, I thought, for nothing is ever early in this bureaucracy. So I waited some more. It was a good thing the department's airconditioning units were already on, and compared to the helter-swelter of the corridor, this was far more comfy.
Then Ate Raquel told me the bad news: I failed to keep up with the retention policy of the Journalism program, and therefore had to be put under probation. Ohdearsweetlordwhydoesladylambinodothistojournmajorssuchasme? I could only be so anxious. I kept asking Ate Raquel whowhatwhenwherewhyhow I could find salvation. She said no problem, if I get my Journ grades's average above 2.25 I would get my ass offa tha probation. Though I would have to face the Orc Lord (aka College Secretary Lourdes Portus) two times this enrollment period. Oh no, no.
I had no choice. I had to wait in line for my turn, missing a slot in five of the remaining Comm 140 slots of the class of Alfonso Deza. Sigh...

And I had the Form 5A already. There was Eka, and then there were Sir Arao, and Sir Teodoro. Eka told me to go with Sir Arao. I entered his cubicle. I showed him my probation form. And then I asked for pre-advice.
"Okay, ba't nagkaganito ang Journ 101 mo?"
"Um, dahil po sa l----------"
"Ano?"
"Dahil po sa meron akong di naipasa..."
"At ano naman yun?"
"Yung layout assignment po."
"At bakit hindi mo naman naipasa? Palagi ka bang absent?"
"Um, hindi po ako nakapasok nung in-announce yan."
"At wala kang ginawa para malaman yun?"
Felt spineless. "Wala po."
"Okay, so eighteen units ka lang ngayon."
I was crestfallen. And who would not? If one was hoping to take 21 units one would bear the weight of the earth upon his shoulders upon hearing such a verdict. Oh well, better not complain. There's still summer...
I then enlisted in Comm 140, and waited for the next day for PI 100 enlistment.

So how was November 7 for me? It was dull, dreary, and... oh never mind.
The main point of this worthless post is that one can pick a random day, and it will be dull and dreary. Period. ^_^~sam

Am the Head of the Department of Poisons and Antidotes of the College of Substances, also doubling as the chief of the Apothecary for the Department of the National Defense. Ahem.
BUT SERIOUSLY
Am a 4th year University of the Philippines student, but currently am a non-major in the College of Mass Communication. I can write, but am really unsure of whether I write well. This is a somewhat faithful version of what I keep in my paper diaries. And yes, I DO write my diaries MANUALLY. I've already filled up thirty-three Papemelroti notebooks, and am on my thirty-four. I love to eat, and boy, my diet sure can pack the pounds on even Palito. I now am planning to reduce weight, but will execute after the hell weeks are over. :D Am planning to shift to either BS Economics or BS Statistics. Wish me luck! :D
