Project Proposal
The Statistics Library Utility Survey
The Statistics Library Utility Survey (SLUS) will, with consent of supervising Stat 114 instructor Prof. Josefina V. Almeda, be conducted by Group _________________ of Stat 114 TFX, the member of which are above-mentioned. The overall objective of SLUS is to provide an overview of the utility function of the School of Statistics Library (from hereon referred to as simply 'library') as assessed by the said School's studentry. It further aims to:
1.measure the value of the utility of the library as perceived by its primary constituent users, the undegraduate students of the School of Statistics;
2.determine its positive qualities that cater to its users, and the negative qualities that hinder them from fully utilizing the various facilites and sections of the library;
3.assess the extent of usage of BS (Statistics) librarygoers in their Statistics courses; and
4.determine what, in the opinion of the students, can be done to improve the library.
Specifically, the objectives of the SLUS are the following:
1.To determine the level of visibility of the library as perceived by Statistics students;
2.To estimate the number of hours spent in the library by students relative to their Statistics subjects;
3.To quantify the convenience and ease of use of library facilities ;
4.To determine the level of assistance provided by the library staff;
5.To estimate the number of books and other library materials taken out by Statistics students;
6.To estimate the frequency by which students use the library;
7.To ascertain the usefulness of library facilities to its primary constituent users; and
8.To determine the positive characteristics of the library and recommend measures to provide for the inconveniences faced by the Statistics studentry.

Am a 4th year University of the Philippines student, but currently am a non-major in the College of Mass Communication. I can write, but am really unsure of whether I write well. This is a somewhat faithful version of what I keep in my paper diaries. And yes, I DO write my diaries MANUALLY. I've already filled up thirty-three Papemelroti notebooks, and am on my thirty-four. I love to eat, and boy, my diet sure can pack the pounds on even Palito. I now am planning to reduce weight, but will execute after the hell weeks are over. :D Am planning to shift to either BS Economics or BS Statistics. Wish me luck! :D
